TOUCHING WILD

~Touching The Wild Heart Of Horses ~

THE WILD IS MY BASELINE
Learning from horses living with greater freedom to choose where they go, who they spend time with and what they do has given me a baseline from which to question the lives we create for horses in our care.
I have dedicated my life to understanding who horses are and what matters to them.
LEARNING TO SEE
Attention allows us to notice patterns
Patterns help us question what we have come to accept
And when we begin to see differently, new possibilities become imaginable
From there, meaningful change becomes possible.

TRUSTING RELATIONSHIPS ARE THE HEART OF MY WORK.
I call my approach horse-led. I listen to the horse, learn from them and allow each individual to shape how we work together.

Over time, we build trust, develop a shared language and find our way of working together.

LEARNING TOGETHER
Touching Wild brings together people who are curious about horses, willing to question what they think they know and interested in exploring different ways of seeing and working with them.

A place to learn, share ideas and keep asking better questions.
PUTTING RELATIONSHIP INTO PRACTICE
Every situation brings together a different horse, different people, a different environment and different goals.

My approach considers the whole picture — prioritising the horse's welfare and the quality of the relationship while finding practical ways forward.

PONIES IN THE LANDSCAPE
I'm interested in conservation grazing, wild and free-living equids and the relationships between horses, people and place.

MY HORSE
I want to understand my horse and our relationship more deeply.

I'M HERE TO LEARN
I want to explore equine behaviour, ethology, welfare and different ways of understanding horses.
